The Geneva Project on Online
Dispute Resolution, Arbitration, and Information Technology
was a joint work of the groups of Professor
Gabrielle
Kaufmann-Kohler, Geneva
University Law
School, Professor
Jürgen Harms, formerly Director of the Centre
universitaire informatique and Professor
Nadia
Magnenat-Thalmann, Director of MiraLab.
The project was composed of a first
phase on online dispute
resolution, which ran from Dec. 2000 to Dec. 2003, and a second one on
the
role of information technology in offline arbitration, which
immediately followed the first phase and ended in Dec. 2005.
The project was financed by the Swiss National
Science Foundation.
